The Union of Republicans of Iran operates as an independent political organization.

We state our views as follows:
1. The most appropriate form for realizing democracy in Iran is a parliamentary republic system based on the separation of the three powers and the guarantee of individual and social rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its supplementary covenants. The principle of the rotation of power and the elective nature of the heads of state and government renders any claim to hereditary, religious, and ideological privilege in governance invalid.
2. The republican system shall be based on the separation of religion and creed from government, without hindering the presence and participation of followers of any religion and creed in the political arena. This separation provides the possibility of democratic coexistence among followers of all religions, faiths, and beliefs alongside one another, and prevents the government from interfering in the private sphere and personal lives of citizens.
3. The endurance of democracy is not possible without removing social, economic, and cultural restrictions and deprivations. Freedom, social justice, and economic development are mutually dependent. We advocate for sustainable development, the creation of social security, and equal opportunities for everyone's access to housing, healthcare, education, culture, and welfare facilities.
4. Sustainable development requires a balanced coexistence of humans with the environment. Therefore, we call for the protection of nature and the environment for the health of present generations and the survival of future generations.
5. Women's rights are human rights. We believe in the equality of rights for men and women and the principles enshrined in the "Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women". We call for the legal guarantee of women's rights in the family and society, the elimination of gender-based cultural, political, and social oppressions against women, and the provision of necessary facilities for the growth of women's talents and abilities in all spheres of individual and social life.
6. We believe in the full equality of rights for all citizens without considering ethnic, linguistic, religious differences, and individual lifestyles, and we demand the remedy of past restrictions against minorities in cultural, political, and social fields, as well as efforts to expand understanding among ethnicities and followers of various religions in Iran.
7. One of the foundations of state administration is delegating decision-making related to living conditions and the management of local and regional affairs to the elected institutions of the people of that same locality and region. Politics based on the distribution of responsibilities and the decentralization of power, within the framework of territorial integrity and the priority of national interests along with the realization of the rights of ethnic minorities, deepens the national solidarity of Iranians and will be a factor in stabilizing and guaranteeing national sovereignty.
8. We advocate for peaceful political struggle and consider holding conferences, sit-ins, marches, strikes, and civil resistance to achieve economic and political demands, as well as resorting to public opinion and referendums, as part of the legal rights of the people and in accordance with international treaties and standards.
9. We call for the eradication of violence from political, social, and family relations. We reject and condemn torture and execution and consider harsh punishments that are contrary to human dignity to be unjustifiable. We believe that the vicious cycle of rejection, elimination, and political revenge must come to an end.
10. The foundation and basis of the country's foreign policy must be national interests and global peace. We call for the expansion of Iran's political relations with all countries based on independence, equal rights, and mutual interests.
