The Coordinating Council of Iranian Cultural Associations is an assembly of trade associations representing teachers and employees of the Ministry of Education across the country. In its statute, it introduces itself as a trade, non-political, and non-profit assembly, stating its goal is to create coordination, cohesion, and uniformity in all activities of the country's cultural trade associations. In addition to trade positions, this council has also announced stances on crises and certain social issues, playing an effective role in social and political developments over past years, especially during the nationwide 2022 protests. The council primarily announces its positions through statements published on its website or social networks.
The General Assembly is the highest decision-making authority of the Coordinating Council and consists of representatives introduced by member associations. The rotating presidency of the council is held by one of the associations in each term.
